Airline Celebrates Valentine’s Day with Passengers
Love was in the air a few days ahead of Valentine’s Day on an eight-hour flight from Melbourne to Singapore.
Singaporean budget airline Scoot treated passengers to a romantic flight, complete with rainbow lights, music and photo shoots,Mashable reported.
The crew danced down the plane’s aisle to “Get This Party Started” by Pink, Mashable said. They also played “Lovefool” by The Cardigans, according to Daily Mail Australia.
Passengers traveling with their sweethearts had their photos taken with fun Valentine’s Day props.
Known for its spontaneous events and tongue-in-cheek ads, the airline’s official Instagram account said the “Love is in the air” event was part of its #wannabeascootie social media campaign, according to Mashable.
A spokesperson for Scoot told Daily Mail Australia that some on-board events for special occasions, such as Valentines, Halloween, Easter and Christmas, are planned ahead of time, while others are spontaneous. The spokesperson said the company encourages crew members to put on mini-events for passengers so every flight is different.
