China Eastern Flight Lands at Shenzhen Airport After Declaring Emergency
A China Eastern Airlines (MU) flight has landed at Shenzhen Bao'ao International Airport (SZX) on Sunday afternoon after declaring an emergency.
Flight MU5759 was en route from Kunming to Shenzhen when the pilot is said to squawk 7700, a transponder code defined as emergency, according to Flightradar24.
The flight was operated by China Eastern Yunnan Airlines using a Boeing 737-700, Registration B-5084.
The reason for the emergency is not yet known though some insiders said the aircraft has lost cabin pressure.
Oxygen masks fell down from overhead, according to the pictures posted by some passengers on board.
The flight landed safely at the airport at 12:41 p.m. and no injuries were reported, the airline confirmed.
