Bombardier accelerates Asia-Pacific growth with new Sydney maintenance station and enhanced customer support
Bombardier has expanded its customer support capabilities in the Asia-Pacific region with the launch of a new Line Maintenance Station in Sydney, Australia. The facility enhances operational convenience for operators across the region and complements the company's existing Australian footprint, which includes a Line Maintenance Station in Perth and a service centre in Melbourne.
The addition of the Sydney LMS brings Bombardier's global network of Line Maintenance Stations to 11 locations worldwide. The new facility is equipped to support Aircraft on Ground situations, provide unscheduled maintenance services, and perform selected scheduled maintenance activities, including inspections.
Featuring Mobile Response Team capabilities, the station enables Bombardier technicians to deliver on-site technical assistance wherever and whenever customers require support. The Sydney-based team is certified to service the full range of Bombardier aircraft, including the Learjet, Challenger, and Global families, further strengthening the manufacturer's industry-leading aftermarket support network across the region.
Paul Sislian, Executive Vice President, Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Aftermarket Services commented: “Being number one in customer support is something we’re proud of, but staying number one means never standing still. It means continuing to earn our customers’ trust by being present, responsive and ready to support them wherever they operate. Our new Sydney Line Maintenance Station delivers on that promise, bringing Bombardier expertise even closer to our customers while advancing our continued investment in Australia and across the Asia-Pacific region.”
The launch of Bombardier’s new Sydney Line Maintenance Station reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to Australia and its broader strategy to strengthen customer support capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region. The investment forms part of a wider expansion plan aimed at enhancing service accessibility and operational responsiveness for customers throughout APAC.
Earlier this year, Bombardier also unveiled plans for a major expansion of its Singapore Service Centre, which is expected to nearly double in size upon completion in the second half of 2028. Once operational, the expanded facility will provide comprehensive support services, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft modifications, avionics upgrades, and round-the-clock Aircraft on Ground (AOG) assistance.
The addition of a dedicated Component Repair and Overhaul (CR&O) workshop will further enhance Bombardier’s aftermarket capabilities in the region, reinforcing its ability to deliver faster, more integrated support solutions to operators across the growing Asia-Pacific market.
