Ten years of growth, expertise and excellence at Dassault Falcon Service Mérignac
Located alongside Dassault Aviation’s flagship manufacturing facility, Dassault Falcon Service Mérignac is celebrating a decade of dedicated support to Falcon operators around the world. Since opening in 2016, the six-bay maintenance center, staffed by 70 highly skilled employees, has completed more than 600 maintenance projects, including 66 major C-check inspections on Falcon 7X and Falcon 8X aircraft. These comprehensive inspections play a vital role in ensuring the continued airworthiness of the fleet, preparing each aircraft for up to eight additional years of operation.
Jean Kayanakis, SVP, Worldwide Falcon Customer Service & Service Center Network commented: “Over the past decade, Mérignac has become an important part of our global support network, combining close access to Dassault engineering resources with the maintenance capabilities operators need. Its continued expansion reflects both the growth of the long-range Falcon fleet and our long-term commitment to supporting customers wherever they operate.”
The facility is fully equipped to perform complex structural repairs, often involving dedicated engineering support, as well as EASy IV avionics upgrades and a range of Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) solutions, including the installation of the Starlink high-speed in-flight connectivity system. In collaboration with local partners, DFS Mérignac also offers cabin refurbishment programs, interior retrofits and other highly sought-after aircraft enhancements.
Initially established to support the Falcon 7X and Falcon 8X fleets, DFS Mérignac has steadily expanded its capabilities to include the Falcon 2000 EASy and Falcon 900 EASy families. More recently, the facility increased its capacity to perform 12- and 24-month inspections on the new Falcon 6X and is preparing to support the flagship Falcon 10X as it enters service.
Beyond its on-site maintenance activities, DFS Mérignac serves as a key technical resource for Dassault’s global network of 60 factory-owned and authorized service centers, providing specialized expertise and engineering support whenever required. Its teams are regularly deployed worldwide to deliver technical assistance and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) GoTeam support, ensuring Falcon operators receive rapid, expert service wherever they are.
