FL Technics Indonesia secures EASA approval for Bali hangar, expanding European fleet maintenance capabilities
FL Technics Indonesia has successfully obtained EASA Part-145 certification for its Bali maintenance facility, authorising the company to perform maintenance on aircraft registered within the European Union. The achievement places FL Technics Indonesia among a select group of Indonesian MRO providers holding the prestigious European approval.
The certification covers both base and line maintenance for Airbus A320 family aircraft, including CEO and NEO variants, as well as Boeing 737 Classic, Next Generation and MAX models, some of the most widely operated narrowbody aircraft fleets worldwide.
Having already delivered maintenance services for operators across the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australia, through both its Bali facility and Jakarta-based workshops, FL Technics Indonesia is now positioned to support European airlines operating under EASA regulations. The approval follows a comprehensive audit process conducted by EASA inspectors, who assessed the facility’s infrastructure, tooling, quality management systems and engineering capabilities to ensure full compliance with European aviation standards.
Martynas Grigas, Chairman of FL Technics Indonesia commented: “The facility is preparing to start the work for an EU-based operator by next week, with further arrivals expected in November 2026. FL Technics Indonesia is also positioned to serve operators across Asia, the Middle East, and Australia that require EASA-approved maintenance."
Located at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, FL Technics Indonesia’s Bali facility spans 17,000 square metres and features three modern hangars with capacity for three aircraft, alongside a cutting-edge 2,000-square-metre paint hangar. Positioned in the heart of Southeast Asia, the facility combines strategic geographic access with advanced maintenance capabilities, delivering comprehensive airframe support services designed to maximise operational efficiency, reduce aircraft downtime and uphold the highest safety and quality standards.
