FlyBy Aviation Academy graduates 33 new pilots in June and welcomes new summer ATPL class
FlyBy Aviation Academy announced two graduation ceremonies held during the month of June, marking the finish line for a combined total of 33 new pilots, as well as the start of a new ATPL class on 1 July. The first ceremony celebrated the graduation of 15 students of 13 different nationalities from the ATPD course, a programme combining the ATPL licence with a degree awarded by the University of Burgos. They were from the 2nd edition of the course — already in its 5th edition — and the wide range of nationalities represented once again underlines the international character of our Academy.
The second ceremony marked the 2nd ATPL graduation of 2026, with 18 students graduating from 11 different nationalities. The event was held at the Forum de Burgos, a venue that holds special significance for the city and, from now on, for these new pilots and their families as well. On 1 July, we welcomed the new ATPL class — the 4th of 2026 — made up of 13 students from 7 nationalities. This class, which traditionally begins during the summer months — typically the quieter season — will also integrate 7 students who transferred from other schools.
It is a source of pride for the whole Academy to see new students beginning their journey at the very moment others reach their goal and become airline pilots.
Oier Fernandez, Head of Training commented: “June was a particularly meaningful month for FlyBy: we graduated 33 new pilots from more than twenty nationalities and, just days later, welcomed a new class that already includes students who transferred from other schools. Seeing this cycle repeat itself — saying goodbye to those who graduate while welcoming those who are just starting — is the best proof of the vitality and international character of our Academy.”
