SuprAéro Équipement accelerates transformation to strengthen aerospace supply chain resilience
Eighteen months after the merger of Supraero and Aéro Équipement, SuprAéro Équipement is entering a new stage of growth, reinforcing its organisation and broadening its capabilities to support aerospace, space and defence manufacturers. The company is evolving beyond its traditional role as a component supplier to become a strategic partner focused on securing long-term access to critical materials, components and industrial resources across the supply chain.
Component availability emerges as a critical challenge for aerospace industry
As aircraft production rates continue to climb, ensuring the availability of critical components has become a defining challenge for the aerospace sector. Airframers, equipment manufacturers and maintenance, repair and overhaul providers are facing increasing pressure from longer lead times, limited supply chain visibility and ongoing sourcing constraints.
Against this backdrop, supply chain resilience has become a strategic priority. Recent disruptions across global industrial networks have underscored the need for reliable partners capable of delivering certified components with full traceability, responsive support and consistent availability.
Industry organizations are also highlighting the urgency of the issue. IATA has identified enhanced supply chain visibility and improved access to spare parts among the key priorities for supporting operational continuity and meeting growing demand across the aviation market.
SuprAéro Équipement expands value-added services for aerospace manufacturers
To address growing industry demands for supply chain security and operational continuity, SuprAéro Équipement has broadened its service offering beyond the supply of aerospace components.
The company provides a comprehensive range of support services, including technical consulting, obsolescence management, kit preparation and inventory solutions tailored to customer requirements. By combining sourcing expertise with operational support, SuprAéro Équipement aims to help manufacturers and MRO providers secure critical parts while improving supply chain efficiency.
In selected product segments, such as cables, connectors, metallic braids and fuses, the company also contributes to product development activities, supporting customers from specification drafting through qualification testing and serving as a bridge between manufacturers and end users. This approach enables closer collaboration and greater assurance of long-term component availability.
Cécile Lopez leads strengthened organisation as SuprAéro Équipement expands its role in aerospace supply chains
As SuprAéro Équipement broadens its offering beyond component distribution, the company has reinforced its leadership structure to support its evolving business model and growing customer requirements.
Heading this next chapter is Managing Director Cécile Lopez, who brings 20 years of experience in defence and other highly regulated industrial sectors, with a background spanning commercial operations, customer service and supply chain management.
The strengthened organisational model brings together the company’s expertise in sales, procurement, operations and technical support, creating a more agile structure focused on delivering greater responsiveness, service continuity and supply chain reliability for aerospace, space and defence customers.
Cécile Lopez commented: "Today, we have a solid foundation built on the expertise of Supraero and Aéro Équipement. Our responsibility is to make this merger work in practice every day, while staying close to our customers. As production rates increase, a missing component worth just a few euros can be enough to disrupt an assembly line. Our role is to anticipate this risk and provide practical solutions to ensure availability and continuity, bringing together the right expertise at the right time.”
