Eclipse sets up JetWave lab to support first GX customers
With the recent delivery of JetWave hardware to an Eclipse customer and the pending activation of the first GX customer via Eclipse’s joint venture, AERO-SATCOM, our satcom lab has now entered the age of HTS technology with the installation of a JetWave system at our Paris labs.
Eclipse has been on the forefront of delivering new High Throughput Satellite (HTS) solutions to our customers. This includes having recently delivered a complete Honeywell JetWave system to one of our customers and ongoing preparations to activate our first Global Xpress airtime customer through our UK-based Joint Venture, AERO-SATCOM.
A crucial part of supporting complex communications systems is having the ability to work with the specific configuration a customer is or will ultimately use. During the system design, testing, integration and in-service support phases of an airborne satcom project all aspects of the communications architecture must be as close as possible to that of the customer. At Eclipse, we have had a well appointed satcom lab for many years with all of the latest equipment where we have hosted many of our customers as they evaluate system performance, develop new applications and conduct systems integration testing. We have often been the first to test our partners’ new products and services coming to market in an effort to deliver the most capable systems to our customers.

We already have customers scheduled to visit in the coming weeks to see first-hand the dramatic step forward this technology brings to the airborne satcom environment.
With this first Ka-band hardware sale, first pending airtime activation and the SUMS STC certification referenced in a previous article, Eclipse is proud to be at the forefront of the new technologies that are currently revolutionizing the airborne satcom industry.
We hope to welcome many of our customers and partners to our Paris lab to see first-hand the capabilities of the most modern airborne satellite communications systems available.
