Experience the future of flight: Ampaire takes center stage at Palo Alto Airport Day
Ampaire is back in the lower 48 states with its hybrid electric EEL demonstrator aircraft. After the remarkable success on the challenging Alaska trip, the company is set to draw attention to its groundbreaking aircraft at Palo Alto Airport Day, an event that embodies the spirit of innovation and progress. As part of the airport day, Ampaire’s Founder and CEO, Kevin Noertker, will be hosting visits by investors and key stakeholders. This oers a unique opportunity to witness firsthand the potential of hybrid electric aviation and its far-reaching impact on the future of transportation.
Kevin Noertker, commented: “Palo Alto is renowned as a stomping ground for innovative startups that embrace new ideas and technologies. We are thrilled to make our debut at Palo Alto Airport Day and share our vision for a more sustainable and environmentally friendly aviation industry.”
The EEL has demonstrated fuel savings of up to 40 percent versus a standard Cessna Skymaster, on which it is based. The aircraft is a parallel hybrid, with one conventional combustion engine and an independent electric drivetrain. Optimized hybrid electric aircraft can demonstrate substantially higher fuel savings and emissions reductions.
Last month, the historic flight to Alaska marked the first hybrid electric aircraft deployment in Alaska, the first international hybrid electric flight, and the first hybrid electric aircraft to gain special airworthiness approvals from authorities in both the USA and Canada. It’s also the furthest north any hybrid electric aircraft has ever flown, enabled by the first-ever deployments of mobile electric aircraft chargers in Alaska and Canada.
All are invited to join us at Palo Alto Airport Day to witness Ampaire’s aircraft up close, meet the team, and see the future of flight.
