Korean Air places landmark order for 103 Boeing aircraft

Boeing and Korean Air announced that the carrier has finalized a purchase agreement for 103 aircraft spanning Boeing’s widebody and single‑aisle families. The deal includes 20 777‑9, 25 787‑10, 50 737‑10, and eight 777‑8 Freighters, completing the airline’s procurement commitment made in August 2025. This landmark order stands as a concrete result of recent bilateral trade negotiations and highlights the enduring resilience of the U.S.–Republic of Korea industrial partnership.

The previously undisclosed order was celebrated at a ceremony attended by Korean Air Chairman and CEO Walter Cho, Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Stephanie Pope, CFM International President and CEO Gaël Méheust, and senior government and financial officials, including U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Michelle Steel and ROK Minister of Trade, Industry and Resources Kim Jung‑kwan.
