【Background】
In March 2024, the MIIT and three other departments jointly issued the "Implementation Plan for Innovative Applications of General Aviation Equipment (2024-2030)", which provides a clear roadmap for promoting high-quality development of the general aviation industry and cultivating a trillion-dollar market for the low-altitude economy. As of the end of November of the same year, there were 744 Chinese general aviation enterprises, 3,226 registered general aircraft, and 470 general airports; nearly 19,000 UAV operators and 2.158 million registered UAVs in China. From January to November 2024, traditional general aviation flights totaled 1.23 million hours, with an average annual growth rate of about 12% over the past three years, while UAV flights reached 25.449 million hours, a year-on-year increase of 15.3%.
In 2025, China's aero engine field will witness a peak of achievements. Three independently developed advanced aero engines—the AES100 turboshaft engine, AES20 turboshaft engine, and AEP100 turboprop engine—will achieve milestone breakthroughs. The vigorous development of the low-altitude economy not only requires the green and intelligent upgrading and transformation of the traditional general aviation industry but also the cultivation and expansion of new aviation business forms.
Against this backdrop, the 13th Annual Aerospace Propulsion Technology Forum will be held in Xi’an from September 11th to 12th, 2025. The forum will focus on the research and development of small and medium-sized civil aviation engines, particularly the technical requirements and market prospects of key technologies such as turboprop and turboshaft engines in emerging application scenarios like UAM, unmanned cargo transportation, and eVTOL.
As an important participant in the field of aviation propulsion technology, your company will have the opportunity to showcase its independently developed small and medium-sized aero engine technologies and products at this forum, enhancing brand influence. You can establish connections with policymakers, industry experts, and potential customers to expand business cooperation opportunities, and participate in discussions on technical standards and industrial chain development for the low-altitude economy to seize industry development opportunities.
We look forward to discussing the development of aviation propulsion technology in the low-altitude economy era with you in Xi’an and jointly promoting innovation and progress in the industry.
