Azerbaijan Airlines has selected an ALSIM AL172 for its training needs. The ALSIM AL172, built to FAA FTD Level 5 standards and already certified as an AATD, is a replica of a brand-new Cessna 172SP Skyhawk with a real Garmin G1000 NXI and GFC700 autopilot.

According to Ilham Amirov, Vice-President of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC: “The national flag carrier of Azerbaijan, by purchasing the AL172 flight simulator manufactured by ALSIM, will improve the quality of training of AZAL pilots and the effectiveness of their training. Thus, with the help of a flight simulator, airline pilots can improve their skills and gain a profound understanding of flight processes. The state-of-art ALSIM AL172 simulator, which has high-tech equipment and is an exceptional simulation system, will allow the pilots to train in conditions as close as possible to a real-life flight. Equipped with advanced technology, it models all kinds of flight scenarios, including various weather conditions, emergencies, and stressful situations on board. Such training allows pilots to better cope with real-life situations and improve their efficiency. The new ALSIM AL172 simulator will be used not only for basic pilot training but also for skills development and pilot training for more complex flight tasks.”

Audrey Jeffroy, ALSIM Sales Director, commented: “We are very proud to welcome Azerbaijan Airlines among our customers. We hope this is the beginning of a successful cooperation between Azerbaijan Airlines and ALSIM."
