A Cathay Pacific Airways (CX) Airbus A330 aircraft, performing flight CX654 from Bangkok to Hong Kong with 110 passengers on board, suffered a hydraulic system failure when the plane was ready to land at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) on Thursday afternoon.
The Airbus A330-300, Registration B-LBE performing flight CX654 from Bangkok was on approach to Hong Kong Airport at around 6:30 p.m., when the crew reported an indication warning of the hydraulic system, local media reported.
As precautions, the captain informed the air traffic controller and asked for emergency services. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway at 7:03 p.m., where it was met by emergency vehicles.
The airline confirmed the incident, saying 110 passengers were on board the A330 aircraft.
