Condor and Lufthansa Technik signed comprehensive component support agreements for the airline' new Airbus A32Xneo fleet and extended the support for the A32Xceo fleet. In addition, Lufthansa Technik will also assist Condor during the production process of its growing A32Xneo fleet with its Aircraft Production Inspection Program at production site for more than 40 aircraft.

Christian Schmitt, COO & Accountable Manager at Condor, commented: “With Lufthansa Technik, we will continue to rely on a reliable partner who supports our ambitious goals with the most suitable services for us. Based on our previous cooperation, we have decided to further strengthen our partnership in order to benefit from Lufthansa Technik's expertise for our existing fleet and, in future, the new fleet. This puts us in a good position for fleet modernisation.”

Harald Gloy, Chief Operations & HR Officer at Lufthansa Technik, said: “The new agreements are another important milestone in our trustful cooperation. It fills us with pride that we can now support Condor's entire Airbus fleet with our excellent component services. Additionally, we are pleased to contribute our experts’ extensive experience in APIP services, having supported in the production process of more than 2,300 aircraft of various types.”

Both Total Component Support agreements will come into effect in May 2024 and have a term of twelve years. They include comprehensive MRO services as well as spare parts pooling and homebase services for the required components. With the newly signed contracts, Lufthansa Technik is thus becoming the component support provider for Condor’s entire Airbus fleet, having already supported the Airbus A330neo fleet with component services since 2023.

For the growing new Airbus A32Xneo fleet, Condor entrusts Lufthansa Technik with overseeing the production process at production site. The Aircraft Production Inspection Program (APIP) covers everything from initial subassembly inspections to final aircraft acceptance and will monitor the process for more than 40 Airbus aircraft ordered by Condor.
