In a significant boost to regional connectivity, flybig has commenced flight services from Lucknow to four key destinations such as Azamgarh, Aligarh, Chitrakoot, and Shravasti. These routes, with affordable fares are already operational, offering enhanced travel options and promoting tourism in these culturally rich areas. This initiative aligns with the Modi government's strong emphasis on the civil aviation sector, which has seen the development of 75 airports in the last nine years. flybig officials have confirmed that these services are part of the airline's broader strategy to improve regional air connectivity across India, supporting the government's UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme. This initiative is expected to make air travel more accessible and affordable for the common man.

Sanjay Mandavia, Chairman and Managing Director of flybig commented: "We are delighted to offer more convenient travel options for passengers from Lucknow. With these new routes in Uttar Pradesh, we foresee significant growth in passenger numbers over the next 2-3 years and plan to expand our operations to accommodate the increasing demand. Our goal is to operate up to 30 departures per day, catering to the burgeoning demand for air travel in Uttar Pradesh. As UP evolves into a pivotal hub for connectivity, flybig is strategically positioned to extend the benefits of the UDAN Scheme to our customers."

These flights are expected to significantly enhance passenger traffic and support local economies by attracting more tourists to these destinations. Azamgarh, with its rich cultural heritage; Aligarh, famed for its educational institutions; Chitrakoot, known for its religious and historical significance; and Shravasti, a prominent Buddhist pilgrimage site, will now be more accessible to travellers.

The expansion of regional connectivity represents a significant opportunity for socio-economic development in the region. Improved access to air travel will facilitate the movement of people, goods, and services, foster trade and investment opportunities, and drive infrastructure development, tourism promotion, and the establishment of new markets.

flybig has ensured a seamless travel planning experience for passengers by making ticket booking straightforward and user-friendly through its website. Travelers from Lucknow can now explore these destinations with ease and convenience, taking advantage of the airline's reliable service and competitive fares.
