Low-cost airline flydubai said on Monday that it has partnered with online travel agent Booking.com to add hotel booking services to its website.

Powered by Booking.com, Hotels.flydubai.com features more than 954,000 hotels worldwide. Passengers can read other guests’ reviews and book rooms with a range of payment options.

“With this website, we are able to offer our passengers even more options when travelling with flydubai, making it easier for them to organise their holidays or business trips,” Ramesh Venkat, chief information officer at flydubai, said in a company statement.

flydubai’s website (flydubai.com) receives customised content based on a customer’s location and previous interaction with the site. It is available in Arabic, English and Russian.

Christopher Hewett, associate director at TRI Consulting, said that the partnership is “a positive move by flydubai as it increases it range of services and offerings by allowing passengers to not only book flights, but their accommodation during their travels.”

The move also benefits hotels in Dubai as it increases their exposure to more international travellers who either are travelling directly to Dubai or are stop over guests.
