A light aircraft made an emergency landing on Sunday off the coast of Tel Aviv. Magen David Adom medics said both pilots were rescued and taken to hospital with light injuries.
Two other people were treated for light injuries for sustaining cuts from rocks while helping to extricate the pilots from the sea, an MDA medic said. All four were also taken to Ichilov Hospital, Tel Aviv.
The aircraft landed near the mouth of the Yarkon River, near the Sde Dov air field. Police said witnesses spotted the plane landing in the water and they had no further details.

A senior MDA paramedic said "we arrived in the ambulance and firefighters rescued both pilots, men aged 57 and 41, both were fully conscious."

Last week Civil Administration head Brigadier General Mounir Amar was killed in a light aircraft crash near Kfar Rama in the Galilee. Amar had been piloting the plane. Airport authorities had lost contact with him and found him only after searches. Rescuers arrived on foot and by military helicopter due to the difficult terrain.
