Gilles Gateau, Deputy chief of staff and social advisor to the Prime Minister, will join Air France with effect from 1st November 2015.

Following an introductory period with the Company, Gilles Gateau will take up his position of Executive Vice President Human Resources and Labour Relations Air France in January 2016, taking over from Xavier Broseta.

Xavier Broseta will, as of this date, replace Wim Kooijman, who will be retiring, in the position of Executive Vice President Human Resources Air France-KLM Group.

BIOGRAPHY
Gilles Gateau, 56 years old, holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and a postgraduate diploma in Human Resources and Social Policy Economics from the University of Paris.

He was a researcher at the CNRS, technical advisor to Martine Aubry, Minister for Labour, Employment and Vocational Training 1993 to 1995, then Director of Operations and EVP at the ANPEbetween 1993 and 1997.

From 1997 to 2001, he was technical adviser to Lionel Jospin, then Prime Minister, in charge of labour, employment and vocational training. From 2001 to 2012, Gilles Gateau occupied various functions with-in the human resources division of the EDF Group.

From 2012 to 2014 he was chief of staff for Michel Sapin, Minister of Labour, Employment, Vocational Training and Social Dialogue.
