J&C Aero announced its collaboration with Scandinavian Airlines in support of the carrier’s upcoming European Business Class offering. As part of this project, J&C Aero has delivered its advanced Movable Class Divider solution for the entire SAS Airbus A320 and Embraer E1 fleets, encompassing a total of 110 aircraft. Designed to provide maximum cabin layout flexibility, the new Movable Class Dividers enable SAS to adapt seating configurations in response to passenger demand and route specifics. The MCDs can be easily repositioned between rows 1 and 9 and stowed behind the last passenger row without occupying overhead bin space—thus optimizing cabin efficiency without compromising storage capacity.

Marius Barcas, Business Development Manager at J&C Aero coemmented: “Our collaboration with Scandinavian Airlines marks a significant milestone for our cabin equipment portfolio. The MCD’s unique combination of flexibility, performance, and sustainability is a perfect fit for SAS’s forward-thinking approach to the passenger experience.”

J&C Aero’s MCD is one of the lightest solutions on the market, manufactured from lightweight aluminium to reduce fuel consumption and enhance sustainability. It is also among the few class dividers that, thanks to its intuitive locking and adjustment mechanism, can be safely, quickly, and easily repositioned by cabin crew – a particularly important feature during short turnarounds.

J&C Aero’s MCD has been recognized with the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2025, underscoring its innovative contribution to modern cabin interior solutions. Moreover, its fully recyclable construction aligns with the aviation industry's growing focus on circular design principles.

Earlier this year, Scandinavian Airlines announced the reintroduction of European Business Class. The new service, launching on 1 October 2025, is tailored to passengers seeking enhanced comfort, premium service, and greater flexibility on all international European routes.
