The Nordic low-fare airline will start direct long-haul flights from Frankfurt *
Flights from Frankfurt International Airport will be operated several major North American airports, including New York John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), Boston Logan Airport (BOS), Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL). The first flight to New York is scheduled for 16 June 2019, with other flights following in June and July. All flights will be operated on the airline’s brand-new Boeing MAX 9 fleet and Primera Air is offering a special introduction fare starting from €149 one-way.
Anastasija Visnakova, Chief Commercial Officer: “We are proud to announce operations from Frankfurt International Airport, as it is one of the major European flight hubs with excellent connection possibilities. This falls perfectly in line with our strategy to bring low-fare transatlantic flights to the major airports of Europe and North America. We believe our service will help to bring more travelers across both sides of the Atlantic.”
„We welcome the young and fast-growing airline here at Germany’s gateway to the world, Frankfurt Airport. We wish Primera Air “Always Happy Landings” at Frankfurt Airport and are looking forward to the first flight in June 2019.”, said Simone Schwab, Senior Vice President, Airlines Sales and Customer Services at Fraport AG.
Primera Air is already flying direct from London and Paris to New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Toronto and Montreal. From 2019 Primera Air will also commence transatlantic flights from Brussels and Berlin. The airline offers a highly flexible range of products – the basic Light fare class offers the lowest prices available for transatlantic flights, the Comfort class includes a variety of extras for very low fares, while Premium provides very spacious seat pitch, great meals and all the benefits usually available for Business class, however, for a lot more affordable price.
