Rotortrade reached another major milestone with the successful completion of its 30th Super Puma transaction over the past decade, further strengthening its leadership in the global pre-owned heavy helicopter market. With 30 completed Super Puma transactions, the vast majority involving the H225 platform, Rotortrade has built one of the industry’s most comprehensive track records supporting operators, governments, leasing companies, and financial institutions across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas.
Aurelien Blanc, Rotortrade EVP Head Of Region APAC, MEA & Africa commented: “From the very beginning, we have believed in the Super Puma family, and particularly the H225. We continue to believe it is the world’s leading commercially successful heavy multi-mission helicopter, combining exceptional versatility, payload, reliability, and long-term value. Reaching 30 Super Puma transactions reflects not only our confidence in the platform, but also the trust that operators, governments, leasing companies, and financial institutions around the world place in Rotortrade to deliver some of the industry’s most complex projects.”
Far beyond aircraft trading, Rotortrade has developed unique expertise across the entire Super Puma lifecycle. The company has successfully managed return-to-service programs, heavy maintenance coordination, aircraft repossessions, long-term storage programs, mission conversion and management programs, technical upgrades, complex retrofits, and worldwide deliveries, providing customers with fully integrated solutions from acquisition through entry into service.
Working closely with Airbus and leading MRO partners, Rotortrade has supported some of the market’s most demanding Super Puma projects, including return-to-service programs following the H225 fleet grounding, humanitarian aircraft supporting the World Food Programme, VIP and government aircraft, firefighting platforms in Europe and Asia, EMS and hoist conversions, multi-mission conversion and management programs across Africa, and complex repossession, storage, and asset management programs for financial institutions.
Today, these aircraft support an exceptionally broad range of missions, including offshore transport, passenger transport, search and rescue, emergency medical services, firefighting, humanitarian operations, troop transport, VIP and presidential transport, and government missions.
As global demand for heavy multi-mission helicopters continues to grow across commercial, government, and humanitarian sectors, Rotortrade remains committed to delivering tailored acquisition, trading, and asset management solutions that maximize aircraft availability, operational capability, and long-term asset value.
Over the past decade, Rotortrade has consistently demonstrated that its role extends well beyond aircraft transactions. By combining commercial expertise with deep technical knowledge and global execution capabilities, the company continues to strengthen its position as the global leader in the pre-owned Super Puma market.
