Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZX) registered a year-on-year growth of 9.3 percent in passenger volume in August 2015, the airport said on Wednesday.

The number of passengers traveling through the airport amounted to 3.57 million in the past month, rising 9.3 percent from the same period a year earlier. Cargo traffic grew 1.1 percent to 84,200 tonnes.

Aircraft takeoffs and landings totaled 26,700, up 4.3 percent from a year earlier, the airport said.

In the first eight months of this year, Shenzhen Airport served over 26.35 million passengers and 202,800 aircraft movements in total, up 11.8 percent and 9.2 percent year on year, respectively. The airport's cargo volume saw a 5.7 percent increase to 648,100 tonnes from January to August.
