Singapore Airlines’ new premium economy product will debut on the Singapore-Melbourne route from late June when the airline resumes seasonal Airbus A380 flights.
The A380 returns to Melbourne on the SQ217/218 rotation as part of a seasonal capacity increase during the holiday peak and will operate three times a week from June 26 until September 3, Singapore Airlines said.
“Up until now we have only be able to provide our premium economy service to customers travelling from Sydney,” Singapore Airlines’ regional vice president for South West Pacific, Tiow Kor Tan, said in a statement.
“I am also pleased to have the A380 return to Melbourne next year to help meet the growing demand from the Victorian market in the peak holiday period.”
