New Canadian ultra low-cost carrier, Flair Airlines, has partnered with TrustFlight to provide comprehensive SMS and operational management support across its expanding fleet of aircraft, helping to deliver an efficient, cost-effective and robust culture of safety and compliance.

TrustFlight combines a wealth of industry expertise with leading digital technology, which now includes operational management solution, Centrik. Complementing the company’s existing Electronic Tech Log, Digital MEL and innovative Digital Workflow Applications, Centrik delivers cloud-based, paperless access and control to Flair’s entire operation, meaning all Safety, Risk, Compliance, Documents, Training and more can be managed through a single source.

“We conducted an extensive assessment of technology and service providers to support our expansion plans. This will continue to enable Flair to provide affordable travel for all Canadians,” says Stephen Jones, President & CEO of Flair Airlines. “TrustFlight impressed us with its innovative services offering and commitment to providing excellent value for our customers.

“With Centrik we have access to a powerful tool capable of managing our entire operation. We’re able to monitor and track every aspect of the business, putting safety, compliance and risk reporting at the forefront of everything we do. Its intuitive interface helps to simplify a range of complex tasks and helps to deliver significant improvements in efficiency.”

Flair currently operates a fleet of Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft and has announced expansion plans that include the delivery of 13 737-8 MAX in 2021, with an aim to reach 50 aircraft within five years. The combination of TrustFlight’s service support and digital solutions mean that Flair will be able to maintain the highest levels of airworthiness, safety and compliance, while achieving some of the lowest costs of operation within the industry – costs it can subsequently pass on to travellers through its low fares.

“We are delighted to be supporting Flair on its exciting growth and journey to becoming Canada’s ULCC of choice.” says Karl Steeves, TrustFlight CEO. “Our integrated approach of providing innovative technology solutions and analytics tools through Centrik, on top of our well-established maintenance support experience, means forward-looking operators such as Flair can succeed within the increasingly competitive aviation market.”

Flair Airlines is Canada’s only independent ULCC, which is growing to serve 20 cities across Canada and five cities in the United States – an ethos for growth that is shared with TrustFlight, which expanded into Canada in 2020.
