Air Arabia Maroc commenced services between Marrakech (RAK) and Frankfurt (FRA) on 27 October. The 2,466-kilometre sector will be operated twice-weekly by the airline on Tuesdays and Thursdays according to OAG Schedules Analyser data.

The link will also face direct competition from two incumbent carriers with Lufthansa and SunExpress Germany also serving the same city pair. Flights will leave Marrakech at 13:40 arriving into Frankfurt at 18:40. The return leg leaves the German hub at 19:30 the same day, landing back into the Moroccan airport at 22:25. Adel Ali, Air Arabia Group CEO, commented about the launch by saying: “We recognise the connection between Frankfurt and Marrakech as an appealing destination favourable to both tourists and business travellers and we are excited to have begun regular services between the two cities.

By offering Germans the possibility to travel to Marrakech from Frankfurt, we are providing them with a chance to discover a unique experience in a mythical city that has an exceptional cultural heritage. This new route further emphasises Air Arabia Maroc’s commitment to expanding its network for tourism, business and leisure destinations across Europe and Africa.” The route will be served by the carrier’s A320s.
