Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) handled 170,000 aircraft movements and over 26,970,000 passengers during the 107-day flood season ending on September 15 in 2015.

This year the capital city of Beijing recorded a rainy flood season from June 1 to September 15, with a total of 50 rainfall times (30 averaged in previous years) and 400 millimeters cumulative precipitation, 80 millimeters growth from the same period of last year.

Of which 6 rainfalls exceeded 25 millimeters within 24 hours, and Beijing airport initiated 50 flood prevention support procedures to guarantee the overall smooth operation.

As this year's flood season came to an end, flights punctuality lift step by step. From the start of September, Beijing Capital International Airport's on-time performance has been more than 85%.
