Enterprise Airlines, the sole full-service FBO at Ontario’s Oshawa Executive Airport (CYOO) and part of the Enterprise Aviation Group, announces the completion of the airport’s runway project to enhance safety, reduce noise and better support air traffic in the region. The Runway Safety and Noise Improvement project, funded by the City of Oshawa, took just over one month to complete and resulted in a main runway that shifts aircraft noise further from the community while also providing better safety margins.
With up to 5,200 feet of operational length, Oshawa Executive Airport’s main runway now conforms to common requirements for corporate and private air traffic, allowing CYOO to better serve those traveling to the city, the southern Ontario region, the Region of Durham and the Greater Toronto Area.
Ken Ruffo, GM at Enterprise commented: “We’re thrilled to introduce the enhanced runway, making travel to CYOO safer for aviators and quieter for our neighbors. With smooth access and first-class amenities, Enterprise Airlines is prepared to welcome guests with safe, reliable services and the customer care they have come to expect from our team.”
Stephen Wilcox, airport manager stated: “I am very excited about the resent noise and safety improvements here at the Oshawa Executive Airport. They enable us to reduce the noise profile for the surrounding community while improving safety and enhancing the balance field lengths of the main runway, helping shift the airport’s focus from flight training to corporate aviation. It’s a win for the community, the city and airport users.”

In addition to the runway, Oshawa Executive Airport recently upgraded the airport’s fuel farm. Further reflecting the airport’s commitment to safety, the new fuel storage system features double-wall protection from leaks, fireguard safety and rust protection. Increased storage capacity also provides consistent fuel supply and market stability for the airport’s customers.
Furthermore, Enterprise Airlines recently enhanced its own facilities with 37,000 square feet of new hangar space, accommodating both long-term tenants and transient winter operations. The company also continues to provide fueling services with its state-of-the-art Avfuel refueler trucks, ensuring confidence and reliability with every fuel load. These improvements were made with Enterprise Airlines customers in mind, elevating their experience while reinforcing the FBO’s premier position in the region.
Enterprise Airlines caters to business and leisure travelers alike with its full-service list of offerings. Guests benefit from 24-hour reception, Canadian Customs clearance, a comfortable pilot lounge and passenger lobby, a well-equipped boardroom (with seating for up to 10), and complimentary crew cars. The facility also boasts comprehensive ground support, on-site maintenance operations and avionics support, ensuring a seamless experience with every flight.
