From the beginning of this year, a separate screening line has been set up at the passenger security checkpoint of Riga Airport – a family line for passengers travelling with children under the age of seven. The family line is located between the already existing fast-track security screening line and the line for all passengers. It can be used both by travellers with children up to the age of seven, and by holders of the Honorary Family card, even if they are travelling without children.
Laila Odiņa, Chairperson of the Board of Riga Airport, commented: “We are a family-friendly company, and we know that travelling with children requires extra care and attention from parents. We want to improve this travel experience, that is why we have opened a family line, which will allow families with small children to go through the security checkpoint quicker and continue on to their flight.”
The light signs have also been replaced in the terminal, which will show passengers the way to the family line, the fast-track line, and the security lines intended for all passengers.
