Gazpromneft-Aero, operator of the Gazprom Neft aviation refuelling business, has begun providing refuelling services for Aeroflot scheduled flights at Malta International Airport, expanding the company’s geographic presence abroad to 170 airports. The Gazpromneft-Aero international network has grown by a total eight airports since early 2016.
Gazpromneft-Aero’s refuelling partner in Malta will be national aviation fuel supplier Enemed. Fuel supplies to Aeroflot will be undertaken as part of a long-term agreement on the refuelling of the company’s regular flights to international airports. Gazpromneft-Aero supplies fuel to air carriers flying to the world’s most popular tourist destinations, including to Spain, Turkey, the UAE, France and Malta.
Gazpromneft-Aero’s aircraft refuelling operations at international airports are undertaken in partnership with major local aviation fuel suppliers. Collaboration with national aviation refuelling companies enables Gazpromneft-Aero to offer its clients optimum prices for fuel, as well as prompt refuelling services, at more than 60 countries worldwide.
Vladimir Egorov, CEO of Gazpromneft-Aero commented: “We have achieved significant success in developing partnerships with major Russian and international air carriers, and in collaborating with local market leaders in aviation refuelling. Expanding the business geographically is a priority for Gazpromneft-Aero’s long-term strategy, in accordance with which the company plans to increase its refuelling network to 262 airports throughout Russia and abroad by 2025.”
