Yesterday a Boeing 787 Dreamliner of Hainan Airlines (HU) performing flight HU7189 from Beijing landed smoothly at Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport (KWE) , marking the arrival of its first ever B787 Dreamliner in the airport's history.
Currently Guiyang Airport operates wide-body aircraft including A330-300s and A330-200s. With the approaching of 2015 winter/spring flight season, carriers will step by step introduce Boeing 787 Dreamliners on routes from Guiyang to Beijing, Sanya, Shenzhen, etc.
Despite tight slot resources and limited routes at Guiyang airport, airlines are still inclined to replace aircraft from "small" to "large", which reflects the airport's further prosperity in civil aviation market and highlights Guiyang airport's lifting status in domestic trunk airports.
Boeing 787 Dreamliner is learned to lead wide-body aircraft in the world. Its standard three-class cabin can accommodate a total of 223 seats.
China's fourth largest carrier Hainan Airlines introduced its first B787 Dreamliner in 2013, the second domestic carrier to operate this wide-body aircraft after Xiamen Air (MF).
The introduction of B787 Dreamliner is of great significance to promote the development of civil aviation sector and tourism industry in Southwest China's Guizhou Province.
