Hong Kong Airlines, an internationally-acclaimed full-service airline, will officially launch thrice-weekly flight service to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on February 27th.

An all-economy class Airbus A320 aircraft will be deployed on the Phnom Penh route.

The new service will further strengthen the airline’s network in Asia and offer more choices and greater convenience to passengers travelling to and from Cambodia.

Phnom Penh is the capital and the largest city of Cambodia.

Located on the banks of the Tonlé Sap and Mekong River, Phnom Penh has grown to become the nation’s centre of political and economic activities, as well as the centre of industry, cultural heritage, and tourism.

Recent rapid development in Phnom Penh’s garment and tourism industry has brought in more and more businessmen and tourists to the capital city, enabling it to become one of the emerging hot spots for business and leisure travel among the Asian region.

Moreover, Phnom Penh offers tourists glimpse into its dignified, traditional and extraordinary city with gleaming royal palaces, colonial architecture, busy boulevards, and monks in burgundy robes.

Li Dianchun, commercial director of Hong Kong Airlines said: “We are delighted to add Phnom Penh to our expanding network in Asia.

“With the booming economic growth in Cambodia, the new direct flight service to Phnom Penh will connect passengers from around the world into the burgeoning country, and at the same time, offer more choices and increased convenience to Cambodians travelling out of their country and connecting to our network in Mainland China, further promoting the tourism and business ties between Hong Kong and Cambodia.”
