Japan Airlines (JAL) decided to provide Diamond Premier Lounge service at Sapporo (New Chitose) airport. New Chitose will become the second airport for JAL with this supreme service following Tokyo (Haneda) airport. Additionally JAL's Sakura Lounge will be revamped in line with the renovation of domestic terminal at New Chitose airport.
In order to satisfy our customers, JAL will continue to expand the enhancement of the lounge service at domestic airports including Osaka's Itami airport and Fukuoka airport.
JAL is striving to provide customers with the most innovative products and high-quality services. The airline will be continuing to embrace new challenges in order to become the most preferred airline in the world.
Outline of JAL's Lounges Renovation at New Chitose Airport
New lounges are scheduled to open in summer 2016. The location will be changed from the second floor to the third floor in the domestic terminal. Under the design concept of "Japan's appearance," new lounges will optimize value of Japanese elements to create comfortable atmosphere of prestige and refined taste.
Additionally, Priority Check-in counters and security inspections will be renewed for JAL First Class customers, JMB Diamond members and JGC Premier members.
The renovation will begin from November 4, 2015. Sakura Lounge and some facilities will not be available for service during the renovation period. For more information, please visit JAL website.
