Zhukovsky International Airport and Pegas Fly airline announce the launch of a large-scale program to support Chinese tourism in the Russian Federation and the launch of a flight on the route Jinan (PRC) - Zhukovsky. The first flight of the new direction arrived at the airport on December 11 at 14:27 Moscow time, bringing on board 289 passengers who are planning to spend their vacation in the Russian capital.

At the first stage – in December 2017-March 2018 – flights to Jinan will be carried out at a frequency of 2 times a week – on Thursdays and Sundays. But by the end of spring, Pegas Fly will open new flights in 8 cities of China. These will include: Guangzhou, Xian, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Xinzheng, Ningbo and Taiyuan. The total frequency of flights will be more than ten per week and can be significantly increased in the future.

Commenting on the opening of the new direction, CEO of Ramport Aero Tomas Vaisvila said: "The cooperation of the airport with Pegas Fly began in July 2017 with a flight to China. Filling of flights during flights on the route Zhukovsky-Xian was close to 100%. This fully demonstrated the high level of demand for air communication between China and Russia. Negotiations with representatives of China's tour operators revealed their interest in significantly expanding this program. Today we are making a big step forward on the way to creating an air bridge between Russia and China in Zhukovsky. I hope that our efforts will contribute to the development of cultural and economic ties between two countries. "

Due to the high demand and the considerable length of the route (more than 6000 km), the line will be served by wide-body long-range airliners Boeing 767-300.

It is expected that in the near future the airline partners of the airport will participate in the expansion of the program, offering tourists to form multicast routes with the center in Zhukovsky and the opportunity to visit several cities in Russia and Europe.

Zhukovsky International Airport (Moscow Region) is the newest Russian International Airport, located in the southeast of the Moscow region, 23 km from the capital. The airport is located on the territory of the Ramenskoye airfield with the longest runway in Europe (5 500 m), which allows to service passenger and cargo aircraft of any type.
