DC Aviation Al-Futtaim is expanding its operations at Al Maktoum International Airport following the recent announcement at the Dubai Airshow from its joint venture partner – Al-Futtaim, to lease additional land from Dubai South.
The new plot will increase the operational potential of DCAF – the first and only integrated private and business aviation operator at AMIA, enabling the company to expand its existing VIP lounge and hangar facility in order to keep up with growing demand for its services.
“The recent increase in demand for our services as well as Dubai Airport’s decision to transition all corporate and private aviation activities to Al Maktoum International Airport has encouraged Al-Futtaim to committing to signing this lease deal.”
Holger Ostheimer, general manager of DC Aviation Al-Futtaim said: “The recent increase in demand for our services as well as Dubai Airport’s decision to transition all corporate and private aviation activities to Al Maktoum International Airport has encouraged Al-Futtaim to committing to signing this lease deal. This agreement will ensure that DCAF will remain the number one service provider for business and private jet operations in Aviation District at Dubai South.”
The new expansion will more than double the hangar capacity as well as enable DCAF to add two single aisle aircraft maintenance bays and provide for enough space for an additional workshop and equipment storage.
DCAF is a joint venture between Al-Futtaim and Germany’s DC Aviation
The existing DCAF hangar can accommodate multiple ACJ or BBJ type aircraft, ultra-long range business jets such as the Falcon 7X, Global Express or Gulfstream G650.
