Elit’Avia (EBACE booth F70), a fully-integrated provider of business aircraft charter, management and operation services, has announced that it has been awarded an aircraft operator certificate (AOC) from the Republic of San Marino Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) (EBACE booth W70).  As a microstate within Italy, San Marino is unique in several respects. Its CAA is governed by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.

“A San Marino AOC is very advantageous for clients wanting to introduce a non-EASA aircraft into their operations,” says Puja Mahajan, CEO, Elit’Avia. “The San Marino CAA does an excellent job of balancing rigorous safety standards with the transactional needs of the industry. Working with highly-qualified and experienced inspectors accelerates the registration process while maintaining robust operational accountability. Thus, with our San Marino AOC, we are able to place a greater variety of aircraft into European commercial service quickly and efficiently.”
