Textron Aviation has received supplemental type certificate (STC) approval for Gogo AVANCE L5 connectivity system upgrade for its Cessna Citation X+, Citation Sovereign+ and Citation Latitude business jets. Aircraft equipped with Gogo AVANCE L5 will experience faster inflight connectivity speeds and an enhanced network to support on-the-go business needs. This STC expands the company’s Approved Model List to include eight Citation business jet models.

“Optimizing connectivity across a range of Textron Aviation products is one more way we can enhance the ownership experience,” said Kriya Shortt, senior vice president of Global Customer Support at Textron Aviation. “For many of our customers, the ability to connect twice as many devices and join a video conference call in flight turns travel time into productive office hours.”

Earlier this year, Textron Aviation announced STCs for the Gogo AVANCE L5 system for the Cessna Citation X, Citation Sovereign, and Citation XL/XLS/XLS+. The company has completed nearly 150 AVANCE system upgrades for Citation customers.

The AVANCE L5 platform-based solution delivers faster speeds and enhanced network capacity. Passengers can enjoy movie, TV and music streaming entertainment between video conferences and meetings. Crew members can also utilize the service to pull real-time data for cockpit apps. Customers should contact their regional Textron Aviation aftermarket sales representative to confirm what options are available for their aircraft.
