Falcon Aviation Services (Falcon), a corporate jet and helicopter service provider, is now offering offshore transportation to Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO), from its base at Al Bateen Executive Airport, the region’s only dedicated business aviation airport.

Falcon will fly nearly 400 ADMA-OPCO’s staff daily, to and from Das Island and Zirku Island, the main industrial bases for the emirate’s Upper Zakum, Umm al Dalkh and Satah fields. There will be three flights per day on each of Falcon’s two newly acquired Dash 8 Q400 fixed wing aircraft, taking off from Al Bateen Airport, with the passengers clearing security through the newly refurbished Sheikh Zayed Terminal.

Eng. Ahmad Al Haddabi, Chief Operations Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, said: “Al Bateen Executive Airport remains the ultimate choice for charter and executive aircraft operators due to its strategic location, fully equipped operational, administrative and maintenance facilities, and fast-on-fast-off processing services. We are delighted to be supporting Falcon Aviation Services’ strong growth, and Al Bateen Executive Airport will continue to provide them with world-class business aviation services, thereby helping them set the benchmark for offshore transportation in the region.”

Captain Ramandeep Oberoi, Chief Operating Officer, Falcon Aviation Services said, “This is a momentous achievement for Falcon as we had a short time frame in which to set up and deliver this service. However, with the help and cooperation of Abu Dhabi Airports, we are able to support the oil and gas sector by using our two Dash 8 Q400’s to transport 400 passengers daily to their work.”

Al Bateen Executive Airport has recently undergone several upgrades to its facilities and lounges in order to continue to offer outstanding services to passengers and private aviation operators, and to provide a state-of-the-art venue to host three key events; Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2016, the Middle East Aviation Career Conference & Exhibition, and the Abu Dhabi Heli Expo 2016. A brand new VVIPTerminal is due to open later in October, and enhancements are being made to the existing VIPTerminal. The taxiway, airfield, and apron have also been upgraded.
