The Swiss manufactured Pilatus PC-12NG has gained the UK and Ireland distributor Oriens Aviation sales leads after exhibiting at the Festival of Speed and Aero Expo. The 2016 version of the popular turboprop has now a higher cruise speed of 322 mph and additional unique features and abilities which set it apart from other executive aircraft of its size. For 2016, there are now six unique BMW designed executive interiors for customers to choose from, and Pilatus continues to offer full customization services for those who desire something even more unique.
Edwin Brenninkmeyer, the CEO at Biggin Hill based Oriens Aviation, says that new version of the aircraft offers an even quieter flight thanks to the introduction of a five bladed propeller, and other performance boosting features with no compromise to operating costs.
“Our brand new demonstrator PC-12 acted as a magnet as it stood in the sun at the Goodwood Festival of Speed where we were the airfield sponsors, and also at Aero Expo. Our promotional team collected the info on over eight potential customers on top of which we have already flown three demo flights on G-RABB with a further three booked in the coming fortnight. This offers the opportunity for demonstration flights and experience travelling in comfort and style,” said Edwin. “Many people are amazed by the residual value; even a 10 year old PC-12 can hold close to 80% of its value.”
The first order for the 2016 version has already been delivered to a customer in Ireland who was excited by low operating costs and functional benefits, a very long range before refuelling, great payload and an ability to land and depart from small airfields and grass airstrips unlike its competitors. It's also favoured for family travel, it can be configured to carry up to nine people, as it has a built in and fully enclosed toilet.
Since 1994 over 40 of the PC-12 turboprop aircraft have been sold in the UK to people who want to enjoy the real convenience of a private aircraft for business or pleasure. The worldwide fleet of almost 1400 PC-12s has now clocked up over five million hours in the air.
