Flexjet announces further expansion in Europe with new terminal at Farnborough Airport

Flexjet is preparing to open its new private terminal at Farnborough Airport. Scheduled to open in early 2026, the new facility will be separate from Farnborough Airport's main terminal and entirely dedicated to Flexjet passengers, with exclusive Flexjet staff. Unique in Europe, the new facility will offer Flexjet passengers a seamless experience from land to air, designed to replicate the personalized service and hospitality offered on board a Flexjet aircraft.

This project represents company's largest infrastructure development outside the USA, and follows the opening of a new and even more spacious Flexjet House in London's Mayfair district earlier this year - a space dedicated to welcoming Flexjet aircraft owners, offering both exclusive services and a privileged meeting place. Flexjet, which employs over 4,000 people worldwide, offers private terminals in the USA at key airports such as Teterboro in New Jersey and Van Nuys in California. Thanks to several new openings, the company will be present at a total of 10 US airports by the end of 2025. The Farnborough site will be the first in Europe, and the first terminal for a fractional ownership private jet company outside North America.

The terminal will be located on the runway edge in a brand-new 2,000 m2 building, construction of which began in early September. The structure will also house Flexjet's state-of-the-art tactical control center, operations teams, modern workspaces, pilot facilities and a comprehensive “Red Label Training Academy” for flight crews, replacing Flexjet's current premises at the airport.

The interior was designed by Carver Hain Art & Design. The plans were carefully crafted to meet the requirements of Flexjet's owners and employees, with modern luxury at the heart of the design process.
 
Flexjet's private terminal will feature:

• A spacious entrance and concierge area, with separate arrival and departure lounges dedicated to Flexjet passengers.
• A refined, owners-only bar with meeting spaces, an elegant dining room and a central bar, all enhanced by an all-glass rear façade offering spectacular views of the runway.
• Exclusive works of art, including a luminous sculpture by contemporary British-Canadian artist David Spriggs.
• A unique fuselage-shaped lounge and luxurious bathrooms.

The exterior of the building, curved to match the existing structures at Farnborough Airport, will feature double-glazed walls and insulated metal panels. The project does not forget environmental considerations, with the installation of 138 solar panels expected to produce around 37,848 kWh/year, offsetting around 4,773 kg/CO2 per year. Rainwater will be collected by the syphonic drainage system for internal reuse, while the installation of four electric vehicle chargers also promotes the use of clean energy.
