VIP aircraft charter operator, GainJet Ireland’s Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) has been approved by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), giving the newly established private jet operator the ability to commence commercial operations.
GainJet Ireland is a subsidiary AOC operation of Greek VIP aircraft operator, GainJet Aviation S.A (based in Athens, Greece) and is based at Shannon airport in Ireland. Both companies have now been designated under the GainJet Aviation Group umbrella. GainJet Ireland currently offers for charter a Bombardier Challenger 604, registered EI-KMA, which will be based between Ireland, the U.K, and Greece as the company works to establish a fixed base for the aircraft. GainJet Ireland CEO, Captain Dimitrios Kehayas explains: “GainJet Ireland was established with a particular mission in mind: To expand GainJet’s coverage of Europe and the west, while also supporting its current operations. The two companies are in place to complement one another, and together serve the client and the market to the highest level in terms of service, safety, aircraft availability, and convenience. We will test base locations for EI-KMA, in order to examine where the ideal base would be for accomplishing our aligned mission. As our operation expands and new aircraft are added to the fleet, we’ll focus on developing our base locations further.”
GainJet Aviation S.A CEO, Captain Ramsey Shaban states: “GainJet has been looking at expanding our operations in support of our current structure as we continue to grow. We examined several EU options, but we felt Ireland has a lot going for it and hence major companies have moved their bases there. We chose Shannon because, similar to Athens, it is a European base that is strategically located and connects continents. Moreover, Shannon has become a major aviation hub for leasing companies and for Atlantic crossing traffic. While we continue to look at expansion into Africa and the Middle-East, our primary base of operation is still very much in Europe. We are very excited with GainJet Ireland and the commencement of its charter operations.”
