TAG Aviation Cayman have secured accreditations for both WYVERN Wingman Certified Operators and IS-BAO. TAG Aviation has been a long-standing operator of Cayman Islands registered aircraft for private owners but was awarded an Air Operator Certificate by the Civil Aviation authority of the Cayman Islands in May 2022.  The company also holds AOC’s from San Marino, Malta and UK which are also Wyvern and IS-BAO certified. WYVERN Wingman Operators are evaluated by the Wingman Standard criteria.  The scope of evaluation includes an assessment of operational activities, review of the company operational history and safety records, Safety Management System, internal evaluation program, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements, and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.

IS-BAO, launched in 2002 is globally recognised to assist operators apply industry best practices by challenging them to review and compare their safety-related policies, processes and procedures, and then make improvement, elevating them to the worldwide standard for business aviation.

Sonnie Bates, CEO, WYVERN, stated: “WYVERN is very happy to declare TAG Aviation Cayman as a Wingman Operator. Adhering to the Wingman Standard is evidence that TAG has a culture of excellence that is far above their peers”

Julyn Tan, Accountable Manger of the TAG Aviation (Cayman) SEZC, commented: “As safety is one of TAG’s core values, we are delighted to have achieved these highly acclaimed certifications from both Wyvern Wingman and IS-BAO.   As a leader in the industry, it is our responsibility to continuously invest in our safety operations and procedures to ensure we are not only meeting the highest safety standards but exceeding them.   Such accreditations echo the commitment of TAG and the hard work we put in to stay safe.  It’s a complete team effort and I’m extremely proud of the collaboration the departments have shown across TAG Aviation to achieve these certifications.”

Kurt H. Edwards, Director General, International Business Aviation Council, said: “IS-BAO is a voluntary safety standard modelled on the ISO 9000 family of standards, specifically developed for and by business aviation operators. It requires development of programs, systems, processes and procedures to meet safety and security standards.  TAG’s management and personnel invested considerable time and personal effort to develop and implement this world-class business aviation code of practice, so congratulations are in order.”
