TAG Aviation (UK) Ltd. has demonstrated its commitment to safety by successfully renewing International Standard Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) Stage 3 certification, the highest level of achievement to be awarded by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).  The UK-based operating Centre also renewed its accreditation to the Wyvern Wingman safety program last summer.

The IS-BAO code of best practices requires flight departments to analyse the processes involved in day-to-day operations and provides managers with tools to foster an environment where safety, efficiency and a commitment to continuous improvement are integrated into all operations. Only operators who independently choose to participate in these third party guidelines are audited and eligible to receive the prestigious IS-BAO.

“Safety is one of the core values of TAG Aviation and the entire team has worked very hard to renew this distinguished accreditation for a further three years” said Patricia Davis, Head of Compliance and Safety, TAG Aviation (UK) Ltd. “By maintaining the highest level of IS-BAO accreditation it reassures our customers that our safety management activities are fully integrated into our business and that a positive safety culture is in place.”

According to IS-BAO policy, the objective of a Stage 3 evaluation is to confirm firstly, that the SMS is sustained and supported by an on-going improvement process, secondly, a positive safety culture is in place and thirdly, safety management activities are fully integrated into the operator’s business. “We are pleased to see TAG Aviation (UK) Ltd maintain a Stage 3 IS-BAO registered SMS. A successful IS- BAO Stage 3 audit evaluates safety culture and safety systems in detail. This achievement requires significant effort and commitment to safety culture by an operator. Congratulations” said Bennett Walsh, IS-BAO, Program Director, International Business Aviation Council.
