Acropolis Aviation, the UK’s VVIP charter operator, based at Farnborough Airport, UK had cause for celebration today when its prestigious Wyvern Wingman accreditation was formally renewed, coinciding with NBAA-BACE.  The award follows its fourth successful audit.

Wyvern Wingman Certification is a prestigious benchmark for aviation safety, reflecting a commitment to best practice and the highest level of safety and protocol.  Acropolis Aviation has held Wingman status since 2011.

Accepting the certificate from James Nicoletti, Audit Operations Manager, Wyvern Consulting, Paul Travis, Acropolis Aviation’s Ground Operations Manager stated: “Retaining Wyvern status is hugely important for our business.  The accreditation is recognised by our valued charter brokers - on both sides of the Atlantic - where our flagship Airbus ACJ319 G-NOAH flies back and forth.”

“Being able to consistently meet the Wyvern standard is testament to an organization’s commitment to safety. Congratulations to Acropolis Aviation on passing their fourth Wingman audit.  Acropolis’ continued commitment to safety keeps them at the forefront as a leader in safety culture,” James Nicoletti said.

To achieve Wingman status, operators must have an immaculate record for a minimum of five years with the appropriate aviation authorities, actively show commitment to leading safety practices and maintain a strong safety culture. Operators must also provide consistently up-to-date, accurate safety data in the Wyvern online database and successfully pass an onsite audit every two years where flight, maintenance, and company business practices are evaluated against “The Wingman Standard”.

Acropolis Aviation’s Paul Travis and Vice President for US and Latin America Kuky Salazar are at NBAA this week (10th to 12th October) to promote their Airbus ACJ319 Avinode Booth No C1008.
