/// The 747 Air France: a laboratory of modernity

Boeing 747 has been a laboratory of modernity. Entering service in seventy years revolutionizing air transportation. Aviation became more democratic and entered the era of mass tourism. For Cargo, Boeing 747 has pressurized compartments, ventilated and protected against fire. Four times larger than the previous generation of Boeing, the 707, they will remove 122 tons of cargo!

Among the first companies to operate, Air France made it a flagship of its long-haul fleet: New York, Montreal, the French West Indies, Reunion, Asia ... the majority of the Company's destinations were served by the big -porteur.

The cabin chief station is set up to coordinate the service in this aircraft, which can carry up to 500 passengers.

The cuisine is to honor, cooked up by great French chefs: Paul Bocuse, Gaston Lenôtre and Pierre Troisgros, all in exclusive collaboration with Air France. Finally, the harmony of the cabin is entrusted to Pierre Gautier-Delaye bringing particular attention to foams for seat and armchairs records.

Today, this adventure has a natural extension within 65 Boeing 777 equipped (or being equipped) with new travel long-haul cabins of the Company: "haute couture" suites in La Première cabin, a cocoon in the sky Business cabin seats and new fully revised in Premium Economy and Economy for optimal travel comfort.
