We've seen plenty of gorgeous she-sheds, unique greenhouses, and beautiful patios, but we've never seen anything quite like this backyard space before.

David Palmer and Emily Palmer, a father-daughter design team from the U.K. and founders of DappR Aviation, created this "Aeropod" garden room from an old, discarded Airbus A320 airplane.

While working on another airline project, David was surprised to learn that planes' frameworks are typically scrapped when they're no longer in use. Recognizing this as wasteful, he approached Emily, who studied furniture design, to see how they could repurpose the aircraft.

From there, they began using airframes from A320 Airbus or Boeing 737 planes to create Aeropods. To build the structure, they keep the original fuselage shell and insulation, and then add an insulated back wall and glass doors.

The versatile outbuildings, which retail for around $28,000-$32,500 each, can be used as a playhouse, gym, man cave, she-shed, or even a sauna, according to the company's website. The rooms are fully insulated and can be connected to electricity and water, so you could turn the space into just about anything.

"It was a huge leap of faith to buy our first plane but we're delighted with the result," David said. "We think it looks stunning."
