RED Aircraft confirms its participation in the ongoing ILA Berlin 2020 digital aerospace exibition. This is a major trade exhibition for the aerospace and defence industries with a public airshow. It is held every even year at the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport near Schönefeld. Owing to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, however, the exhibition has gone digital this year. With this, ILA now becomes the first digital aerospace trade show ever.

A hub for the international aerospace industry, ILA Berlin showcases the industry's very best in terms of high-tech products as well as research and development projects. The previous edition of the exhibition in 2018 was attended by more than 65,000 trade visitors and 115,000 members of the public.

ILA 2020 started on May 13th and is scheduled to continue until July 31st, with updates on every alternate Wednesday. This digital exhibition has already turned out to be an excellent platform for product and innovation presentations, discussion events, matchmaking, webinars and much more online activities. More than eleven hundred exhibitors from 41 nations are expected to grace the show. As many as fifty special events are available for the 180,000 odd visitors attending the exhibition.

“This digital exhibition is a way of keeping the aerospace industry connected. In view of closed borders and travel bans, it has never been more important to find international ways out of the crisis and to show what the aviation and aerospace of tomorrow will look like. The digital ILA will discuss key issues of the industry such as green aviation, digitization or additive manufacturing,” said Volker Thum, Managing Director of BDLI. „We are very glad that our member company Red Aircraft Gmbh is part of this first digital aerospace trade show worldwide.“

RED Aircraft GmbH is a fully-certified organization that offers a comprehensive range of engineering services that are critical to engine and powertrain development. RED engines are qualified for all categories, classes, and types of CS-23 and CS-27 aircrafts that are suitable for utility, commuter, aerobatic, as well as agricultural applications. The company’s RED A03 engine is potentially the industry’s best-fit for helicopters, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), Hybrid Airships and Hybrid-Electric Aviation.

“We are excited to be a part of the ILA Goes Digital exhibition. In these troubled times, this digital event has created an invaluable opportunity for us to connect with customers, engineers and industry experts to gain a better understanding of the key issues faced by the industry in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Dmitry Remsha, the CEO of RED Aircraft GmbH.
