The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) announced today that U.S. Rep. Dina Titus (D-1-NV) will speak at the Opening General Session of NBAA’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA2015) to officially welcome attendees to Las Vegas, NV, where the show runs from Nov. 17 to 19.
Titus represents Nevada’s 1st Congressional District, which includes McCarran International Airport (LAS). She has served more than three terms in Congress, where she is a member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, including the Aviation Subcommittee.
“We’re delighted that Rep. Titus will be on hand to welcome NBAA2015 attendees to her Las Vegas district,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “In Nevada and in Washington, DC, Rep. Titus has been an outspoken leader on the value of business aviation, where she’s educated fellow officials on our industry’s role in creating jobs and driving economic growth.”
Earlier this year, Titus sponsored an aviation symposium in Las Vegas that brought together local business leaders and government officials, including FAA Administrator Michael Huerta. The Titus Aviation Symposium – intended to be the first in an annual series – explored ways to attract more aviation business to Nevada, including travel, tourism, parts manufacturing and unmanned aircraft systems testing. NBAA staff, as well as representatives from several original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) participated in the June 8 event.
Titus is also a member of the House General Aviation Caucus. She will be one of several government leaders speaking at the NBAA2015 Opening General Session on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
As the most important business aviation event of the year, NBAA2015 offers attendees an unparalleled opportunity to learn about the latest issues affecting the industry. And as the largest gathering of the industry in the world, NBAA2015 is the best place to review the latest business aviation products, technology and services, while participating in dozens of education sessions and making side-by-side comparisons of the most innovative aircraft on static display.
NBAA2015 will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with two aircraft displays – an indoor one, on the exhibit floor of the convention center, and an outdoor display at Henderson Executive Airport (HND).
