Shell will be showcasing its expertise and experience at the Dubai Airshow this week, highlighting the importance of supporting Middle Eastern aviation growth.

The Middle East has always proved to be an important region to Shell, as the company has contributed to the development of the aviation industry through its businesses, such as Aviation and Bitumen, supplying fuels and lubricants, and providing bitumen solutions for airports such as in Dubai and Muscat.

Shell Aviation’s presence in the Middle East dates back to the 1960’s, and Anne Anderson, vice president of Shell Aviation, shows plans to continue in the region for many years to come: “With an estimated additional 237 million passengers expected a year by 2034, we look forward to many more years of supporting our customers in the region with the challenges of managing the increasing air traffic.”

Shell Bitumen also contributes to the Middle East aviation industry, as it is the world’s larges bitumen marketer, which provides solutions at over 100 airports and airfields all over the world.
