There was a capacity audience for the BACA training sessions at ACE17, the one-day exhibition and conference which took place on 12th September at Biggin Hill Airport, London.  During the morning a number of sessions took place for CEOs and Senior Management, including a presentation by Jeremy Cook of World First, sponsored by Paynode, along with an introduction to Dassault Aviation’s flagship Falcon 8x and sessions on risk and insurance.

This was the first occasion on which ACE had incorporated the extremely popular BACA broker training sessions, which took place in the afternoon and was also the first time the training was open to non-members of the Association. The training proved to be extremely popular, with capacity audiences for many of the sessions. The presentations focused on the role of Brokers and included sessions on Law, the operator’s perspective, a ground handling masterclass and a spotlight on Piaggio Avanti aircraft.

The popularity of the sessions underlined the need for training, BACA is reviewing the options on ways in which training will be available in future.
Overall ACE17 was the most successful so far, the event previously being known as BGAD. ACE17 featured 29 aircraft on the static display, more than 60 exhibitors and saw around 900 registrations, with in excess of 700 visitors over the course of the day.

BACA Chairman Richard Mumford summed up his feelings about ACE 17 by saying “This has been an outstanding event, it is extremely gratifying to see the level of interest there has been. The feedback we have been getting is that ACE17 delivered excellent networking opportunities and combined with a series of highly relevant presentations, and the static display, the day has been outstanding for both BACA members and non-members alike.”
