Alsim’s AL250 flight simulator will be available for demonstration flights during the Singapore Airshow next week at the Changi Exhibition Centre. Media, flight schools, universities and visitors willing to fly the simulator are all welcome and can request a dedicated demonstration at [email protected].
The EASA & FAA qualified AL250 simulator was launched in 2016 by Alsim in response to strong market demand. This compact FNPT II & AATD simulator facilitates initial phase training (PPL, CPL, IR/ME) and comprises single and multi-engine piston reconfigurable aircraft. In addition, it offers both classic and glass instrumentation at the simple flick of a switch. Visitors will also have the opportunity to try the new user-friendly Alsim Avionics, offering ADF features with no additional subscriptions needed.
One of the AL250’s unique options is the new Engineering Pack, allowing the user to change the aerodynamic derivatives of an aircraft’s configuration and demonstrate in a real-time, hands-on, way how this affects the dynamics. Dr Harald Pfifer of the University of Nottingham, an Alsim client, explains, “students can design their own autopilot and implement it through the Engineering Pack on the simulator. In advanced integrated group projects, students can develop their own aircraft, generate an aerodynamic model for it and test fly it on the simulator.”
Alsim has already sold over twenty AL250 flight simulators worldwide since its release in 2016.
ALSIM has been developing and manufacturing FAA & EASA certified FNPT II & FNPT II MCC flight simulators since 1994. Today the company has more than 270 certified flight training simulators in service with over 190 clients worldwide.
